You may receive security warnings when accessing your cPanel through:

https://yourdomain.com:2083

For example :

# Internet Explorer
"The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority."

# Firefox

This Connection is Untrusted
"You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to www.example.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure."

On our shared/reseller server we install self-signed certificate and by default this come's free with cpanel system. Self-signed certificates are "not trusted" because they are generated in the name of servers hostname.

However, the connection is still secure and you can safely accept the certificate permanently. Additionally, you will be automatically redirected to the correct secured URL if using a standard link for cPanel for your account:

http://yourdomain.com/cpanel

This will automatically redirect you through secured connection, it will open the cPanel login page and no SSL warning will be displayed.
