    Default Shared Server Ecomm1 down

    Shared server Ecomm1 will be down as its currently in " Read-only file system " and to get this issue fixed we will need to run the FSCK on it.

    We are also planning to move this server in weekend to new compatible server.

    Server should be back online, once its done with the file system check on the server.

    Yes hope you guys can fix the current server asap.

    Regarding about the migrating the server, will it takes about 12 hours before my website ready to operate. I mean after update the DNS record..

    Default Server migrate

    Good. It has work normally. Thanks guys.

    Regarding about migrating to new server, I suggest that you guys make it at midnight if possible because that time is not a prime time for most website and less visitor/customer visit all website.

    And of course last time I have migrate to new server and it took 12 hours before website can be back to normal. When people come to the website, they will be redirect to webpage.cgi. Certain customers have claim that there should be some text or information stated on the cgi. to inform them that there is migration in server, or server changing are still in progress. And they should come back later. Because it would be a difficult job to email thousands of customer to inform them on this matter.

    Hope that you guys can consider my request which is good for other website as well.

    FSCK completed properly.. all sites are working fine.

    Regarding migration we'll have to discuss this with our operation team to setup a new server asap so most probably we'll schedule the migration task next week.

    We'll inform all clients on this server 5/7 days in advance.

    Default Migration fail

    Hi everyone,

    it has already 4 days our website unable to run. We have lost many customer, got negative feedback from them & they will not return as our customer, lost our traffic, and our website Google ranking has dropped tremendously. Our business unable to run and our cashflow has been worsened. We were really disappointed because of this migration and no solution for the problem. I hope all webhost.uk.net team take note of this problem. However, now, we are still working with Natasha Cooper to solve this problem.

    We have contact Magento by using the forum (because that is the only channel to ask them & get the professional) and still waiting for any feedback. However, we want to stress that we believe that nobody will answer our question because we have done so many request before this and nobody reply. But, we are still waiting for any feedback from Magento

    Default Migration

    Dear Natasha Cooper, maybe this would help you.

    When migration of the server occurs, we have 2 same file located inside the main website url. Both of this works fine with the new server even after we have refresh cache. Only when we indexed management of both website itself, it said that it cannot initialize the indexer process only for the catalog Search Index. For the others, they are successfully index.
